Today, we took trip down to town. We visited several stores:

First up was a hardware store. Here we got some things for the house, including a small handheld vacuum, which has come in handy! When we were leaving the hardware store, we had a little jumping spider on the windshield!

Then we went to the post office, where we got our PO box set up, so we can now receive mail. Then we went to the phone store to get Sophie a data plan, and then filled up gas at the gas station. Interesting note is that here, they pump the gas for you, and then you pay after. Then finally, we went to a market to get some groceries. We were pretty tired after this, so we went back home, though we did stop at the Maxipali on our way back to pick up a few more items. Since it is a bit of a hassle to go into town, we'll probably try to stack errands on our trips.

In the evening was a campfire/birthday party for one of the people, and I went to it. Met some new people, and I helped start the fire. The other people were having difficulty, but I was able to get it going, so it was good that I was there I guess.

Later on, our next door neighbors, Ross and Nathalie, came. They had been traveling, and they had just got back, so it was the first time meeting them. They are cool people, and I even got to play music with Ross, as he brought his guitar. I brought my bodhran frame drum. the humidity detuned my drum to be deeper, but it was still playable and we had a good time. I look forward to playing more music with him!

Glad you could help with the campfire! And so glad you're getting to share music with people. Squeeze packs for jam makes so much sense!
