Today I had my first cup of coffee in the new coffee maker. It was really good! It made me really excited for the day.
We got ready and headed out to a place called Pequeño Mundo. It was quite a drive, as it was faraway. We got a lot of house stuff, including a computer desk and office chair for me. It was quite a big shopping trip, as there were a lot of things that were needed in the house.
After our shopping, we had some food at this restaurant called Casa Ajena in El Roble. It was really good! It was nice to have some food after all the shopping.
On the way back home, we saw a lot of animals. We saw chickens and a goat on the side of the road, as well as some stray dogs. Sophie also saw a cat. We also saw horses and cows in pastures. However, the highlight was that we saw capuchin monkeys near where our house is! Sophie saw them first and pointed them out and we stopped to take a look. That was so cool!
Getting back, we spent some time putting the new house things together.
First, I put together my new computer desk. It went together pretty easily, and now it feels so good to have a desk! I also put together my office chair, and now it is so much easier to use the computer! I love it. It was so uncomfortable to use the computer at the island, and now the ergonomics are so much better.
We also got a standing fan, to help circulate air from the bedroom to the rest of the house.
We also got a doorway organizer for our shoes and jackets, bags, and other things.
Ironically, the house now looks less cluttered now that we have the new items and furniture. Having the computer at the desk, instead of on the island made a huge difference. It was kind of unsightly there, as it was not easy to organize. Now, I've been able to organize my cables so things look nice and tidy.
After, we had a lovely dinner of stir fried veggies and rice with Ilana. It was good to talk and cook with each other. We also got to show here the new house setup when she came to pick us up.
We later came home, and Sophie found another spider. It was just sitting there in the living room. I captured it and put it far away outside. I am not sure which one this was, but I am hoping it was a bromeliad spider and not a wandering spider, as those are pretty venomous. But either way, it is out of the house now.
However, I think that when you live in rural Costa Rica, you have to make peace with bugs. Maybe I should name this blog Bre, Sophie, and the Spiders. They seem to be reoccurring characters.

Oh, my. Your "recurring character" comment made me laugh out loud.
So glad you have the organizer in the entryway and the new desk+chair-- it is amazing how much difference it makes to have a place for everything to be. 🥰 Restful, uncluttered spaces are restful to my brain, for sure!
