So today we mostly stayed home and relaxed. Ilana will not be here till tomorrow, and we are still trying to settle in. I took this opportunity to wash my hair. Sophie had gotten me this really nice brush that detangles my hair really well, so that helped a lot. She also helped me dry it today, which is necessary here, since air drying does not work so well in the humidity. I think it turned out pretty well, and sorry, I forgot to take a picture!

It rained again, as it tends to do this time of year, so it was nice to listen to, though it is quite loud sometimes on the metal roof.

One bit of excitement for the day came as we were getting ready for bed. I had my flashlight out and spotted a big spider near the dresser cabinets! I was luckily able to catch it and release it outside. Kind of a bit of a scare though. I do get freaked out by large insects a bit at first, but I don’t want to kill them if I can help it. But this one ended ok, so it was all good.

Not exactly sure what kind of spider it was, but I think it was a smaller version of the kind we saw the other day.  It may be a Bromeliad spider.
